Students Using Technology

Our Purpose: Intentional Technology Use in Elementary School

At Nyack Public Schools, technology is used intentionally—as a tool to enhance learning, not replace hands-on instruction. Every digital program and device-based experience is selected to support New York State learning standards, enrich classroom teaching, and help students grow academically within a balanced instructional day.

Our elementary classrooms prioritize strong instruction, meaningful relationships, and active student engagement. Technology is one part of that experience and is used thoughtfully to support learning goals while maintaining developmentally appropriate classroom practices.

9-10-26 Letter from Dr. LRG

A letter from Dr. LRG was shared district-wide with families and staff with commemoration to the 25 year observance of 9/11.

Friday, September 11th, marks our nation's 25th observance of 9/11. In Nyack Public Schools, we will pause for thoughtful moments throughout the day... to teach, to remember, to recognize, and to honor the victims, their families, our first responders, our neighbors and alumni who will forever be in our hearts as everyday heroes.

In commemoration of this 9/11 anniversary year, our fall varsity athletic teams will be honoring Welles Remy Crowther - "The Man in the Red Bandana" - and Nyack alumni who lost their lives on 9/11 or due to 9/11-related illness:

● Welles Crowther
● Stacey Sennas McGowan
● Harry Wanamaker Jr.
● Jon Albert
● Ross Dailey
● Joseph Stach

May the memories we share be an inspiration of courage, compassion and the community we strive to be for our children and each other.
