As a culminating activity, students in the third grade participated in an assembly that infused drama, music, and dance into their curriculum. Third grade teachers, Ms. Rameshar, Ms. Czarnetzki and Mr. Bobo use this annual performance to help the students understand, reinforce, and review new concepts about their thematic unit on China. The assembly was a great way to build community, spotlight individual talents, engage creative imaginations, and instill confidence in our young performers.

In honor of
Being Caring and Kindness month, Friday, February 12th was 60's
PEACE DAY. Students dressed like they did in the 1960's and wore tie-dyed t-shirts, peace signs, beads and jeans.

Bulletin boards and classroom doors all over the school are decorated with friendship murals this month. The Olweus committee and student council organized these activities in honor of
Being Caring and Kindness month. Besides participating in
Peace Day, students wrote essays and poems about how they demonstrate kindness to others.
